A chilling video has been released showing a police diver entering the River Wyre where Nicola Bulley was last seen.
Today’s inquest was shown the video filmed by PC Matthew Thackray almost two months after Bulley’s body was found.
Giving a running commentary as he steps into the river and floats downstream, situs slot777 PC Thackray – who was involved in the search from day one – said it was not possible to stand up in the river until around 40 metres downstream.
He also pointed out that its level was around half a metre lower than on the day Ms Bulley went missing.
Discussing the temperature of the water, he says: ‘If you fell in accidentally, cold water shock would probably have taken effect and caused you to gasp and your muscles to seize so you can’t swim properly.’
